Can Track Bicycles Come With Traditional Rear Flywheels And Brakes?

Categories: Bicycle Commuting | October 29th, 2009 | by admin | one comments

A Reader Asks…

I like track bikes and I like the idea of perhaps buying one, but I don’t like the fact that the rear wheel lacks a flywheel and brake like on a standard bicycle.
Are there track bikes available that use a conventional set-up?
If I ever bought one I’d really only use it for general commuting or riding.

Can I Legally Bring An Electric Bike And Motor Scooter To The Usa From China?

Categories: Bicycle Commuting | December 2nd, 2009 | by admin | 2 comments

A Reader Asks…

I have lived in Beijing China for a couple years and have spent most of my time traveling by either the use of an electric bicycle or by the means of a motor scooter. I have found both vehicles fun and efficient ways to get where I need to go with very little cost and emission worries. Can I bring these items (or one or the other) back to the USA with me legally, and if so, what might be the easiest way to get them back home? Thank your for answers in advance. Happy Commuting
