Commuting Dilemma.. Too Dangerous To Walk?
so I have to go to my studio that is 5 mile away.
I spend a long time and often going home around 9pm-11pm..
my friend does have a truck and he told me that he will give me a ride.
but it frustrates me to live around his extremely irregular schedule.. sometimes I have to wait until 2am or 3am if necessary but I cannot complain because I’m getting a ride..
I get a car in one month
so It is waste for me to buy scooter or anything over 200 dollar.
I was thinking of getting a bicycle or segway or one of those tiny electric scooter for boys. ——but… I have to go pass the ghetto area..
I’m 21yrs old asian female…would it be dangerous to bike around 9pm?

Keep putting up with your friends irregular schedule for a little bit longer. The month will go by fast and you will have your car before you know it.
Don’t put yourself in danger. You are asking this question because you have a feeling that it might be unsafe to go through that area at night. Trust your feelings and do not risk your safety.
darn you dont say what city you are in
there could public transit options and lot of buses now have bike racks
so you can take your bike with you on the bus
there are some excellent public transit expert here
on yahoo answer that would be glad to help you
but we need the city you are in
